In leading up to the start of the each school year, the Irvine Valley athletics department counts down the top 10 Irvine Valley sports stories from the previous school year.
This countdown first appeared during the summer of 2014 and highlighted the many accomplishments both on and off the court of IVC teams, student athletes and coaches.
The countdown begins in August and finishes up just before the start of fall sports action.
This year's official 2022-23 Irvine Valley athletics schedule starts on Friday, Aug. 26 with the women's soccer team playing on the road at in San Diego at Southwestern at 5 p.m. and the women's volleyball team taking on Canyons at home in a battle between two strong teams at 5 p.m.
With a lot of success by Irvine Valley teams year in and year out, the selections for the annual IVC top 10 stories also end up being difficult ones.
This year's list will begin being posted on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
