The Irvine Valley women's tennis team is trying to finish the season strong.
The Lasers won their second straight match in Orange Empire Conference play, defeating Saddleback, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon at home.
IVC improved its record to 4-3 overall.
Irvine Valley led, 2-0, after the doubles contests. Saddleback, competing with two players, had to default at the No. 2 doubles spot. Neither team sported No. 3 doubles squads.
IVC's top team of freshman Soleil Zsibrita and Nicole Harper defeated Sumari Kritzinger and Alexa Berg, 8-1.
In singles action, freshman Valeska Fernandez beat Kritzinger, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 1 for the Lasers.
Saddleback captured the No. 2 match with Berg defeating Irvine Valley freshman Amethyst Lam, 6-0, 6-4.
Irvine Valley finishes the regular season with a match at Saddleback on Thursday at 2 p.m.
