Women's soccer player Ashley Arribas headed to Missouri Valley

Irvine Valley women's soccer player Ashley Arribas is headed to play at NAIA Missouri Valley College.

Arribas, who played several roles for the Lasers this past season, and was projected to be one of the top players on the team heading into the 2021 campaign.

She was hit with injuries and only able to compete in four contests, making three starts.

Arribas came to IVC from Yorba Linda High.

She is headed to a Missouri Valley team that had quite a 2021 fall season.

The team had a record of 14-6-1 overall. The Vikings went 11-1 at home and finished 9-2-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The 14 wins was the third-most in a single season in program history.

The team also finished ranked No. 21 in the nation in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll.

The 2021 Missouri Valley College team featured three former Irvine Valley players in Cassie Fuentes, Emily Rodriguez and Heaven Hernandez.
