Irvine Valley women's basketball coach Julie Hanks is excited to announce that two more standout players have committed to the Lasers.
The Lasers are set to add Corona del Mar High guard Trasara Alexander and Glendora High guard/wing Kennedy Pucci.
Both were multi-sport athletes and star student-athletes on and off the courts and fields.
Alexander played in 16 games this season for Corona del Mar and averaged 15/1 points per game. The 5-8 guard helped lead her team to a 16-7 record overall and a 5-1 mark in league play.
Pucci helped Glendora to a 7-3 mark in league. She was a do everything player for the Tartans, averaeging 11.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
The two players join Anaheim High forward Giselle Martinez, San Juan Hills High guard Emily Freeman and Aliso Niguel High guard Kaila Truby and Lake Mary High (Florida) guard/forward Andrea Garcia.
Irvine Valley did not have a season for 2020-21 due to health and safety protocols around the Covid-19 pandemic.
But the Lasers won three straight Orange Empire Conference titles before that with a record of 25-3 overall and 12-0 in conference in 2019-20, 23-6 overall and 12-2 in conference in 2018-19 and 26-5 overall and 13-1 in conference in 2017-18.
Irvine Valley reached the CCCAA State Tournament during that 2017-18 season.
