Was a reserve player on last year's Irvine Valley team that won an Orange Empire Conference title and finished third at the CCCAA State Championships...Came to IVC from Grace Brethren High in Simi Valley...Was a first team all-league player as both a junior and a senior in high school...Says her best match was helping Grace Brethren rally in the fifth set to win, 15-13, and make the playoffs...Would like to attend SPU, Wheaton or Gordon College and study English or communications when she is done at Irvine Valley...Her favorite athlete is her brother Bryan Peterson, who played baseball at UC Irvine and has been in the Marlins and Rangers organizations...Her favorite school subjects are English and history...The person she most admires is her mother Sandy, who she says has always been with her through thick and thin...Daughter of Sandy and Ray Petersen.
