Red-shirted at Irvine Valley during the 2012 indoor season.
2013-14: Had quite a freshman year at Irvine Valley...The 6-2 middle blocker was named the Orange Empire Conference player of the year, all-region, all-state and All-American before being selected just the third player in California community college history to be selected as the American Volleyball Coaches Association two-year college player of the year...Helped lead the Lasers to a 24-2 overall record and their first State Championships appearance since 2009...IVC ended up finishing third at the CCCAA State Championships...Ended the season ranked first in hitting percentage (.436) and blocks per set (1.61) while placing second in kills (309) and third in kills per set (3.64) in conference as Irvine Valley went a perfect 14-0 in conference play to claim its fourth conference title in program history...Helped hold Laser opponents to just a .190 hitting percentage on the season...Also led the state in total blocks (137) and blocks per set (1.61)...Had 18 matches in which she finsihed with at least 10 kills...Recorded a season-high 26 kills in Irvine Valley's dramatic five-set loss to Cabrillo in state tournament on Dec. 7...Had a season-high 15 blocks in Irvine Valley's four-set win over Golden West on Oct. 25...In the spring was part of Irvine Valley defend its club state championship in women's volleyball.
High School: Arrived at Irvine Valley from Friendswood High in Texas...Was a first team all-state player as a senior at Friendswood.
Personal: Says her favorite athlete is IVC assistant coach Butch May and her favorite subject is history...Her goal for the season is to win state. The people she most admires are her parents...Daughter of Kimberly and Mark Mitchem.
