Former Laser Ashley Fajardo named all-conference at LeTourneau

Former Irvine Valley women's basketball player Ashley Fajardo was selected American Southwest Conference Honorable Mention for her efforts during the LeTourneau Univesity 2013-14 women's basketball season.

Fajardo and the YellowJacket women's basketball team reached the ASC Tournament for only the second time in program history.Fajardo played and started all 26 games.

The senior averaged 26 minutes, 10.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Fajardo led the team in scoring (10.2 points per game), 3-point field goal percentage (34.4 percent), field goals made (87), field goals attempted (253) and steals (33).

Fajardo scored in double figures in 15 games as well as being a prolific 3-point shooter with a 3 pointer in 23 of 26 games and multiple 3 pointers in 14 games.

The guard was at Irvine Valley during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.

As a sophomore in 2010-11, she was an all-Orange Empire Conference selection, averaging 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

As a freshman, she averaged 7.3 points per game.
