Irvine Valley's athletes of the week for Apr. 7 are sophomore standout women's beach volleyball players Audrey Fowler and Avery Bennett.
The two are continue to remain undefeated in Orange Empire Conference play and are looking to be the top seed in the OEC pairs tournament at Irvine Valley at the end of the month.
Fowler and Bennett, who have also been star indoor players for the Lasers, won two more matches last week.
Fowler and Bennett won their match on the first court, 21-19, 21-8, against Saddleback in IVC's overall 4-1 victory and then defeated Santiago Canyon's top pair, 21-11, 21-3, at home last Friday as iVC defeated the Hawks, 5-0.
Saddleback was the host college.
Irvine Valley plays again next Friday, hosting Golden West and Riverside with matches starting at 9 a.m.
The Lasers have a record of 7-13 overall and 7-5 in conference play.
