Irvine Valley sophomore women's soccer players Marissa Perez and Herminia Verduzco have signed with Missouri Valley College.
Missouri Valley College is an NAIA school in Marshall, Mo.
Perez, a starting defender for Irvine Valley in 2014 and 2015, was named all-Orange Empire Conference two years in a row.
She made first team all-conference this past season and second team all-conference in 2014.
Perez was the anchor of the Irvine Valley defense this past season. She helped the Lasers record four shutouts and also contributed three assists on the offensive end.
Verduzco was also part of Irvine Valley's teams in 2014 and 2015 and was the starting keeper for the squad this past season.
She made 52 saves in 13 matches, had a 2.74 goals against average and recorded two shutouts.
As a freshman in 2014, Verduzco gave up just two goals in seven matches, including four starts for a 0.44 goals against average.
Perez and Verduzco were part of the 2014 IVC team that had one of the best seasons in program history.
The Lasers ended with a record of 11-7-2, finished fifth in the tough Orange Empire Conference, were ranked at one point in the state poll and just missed the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs.
