Garrett Komisarek

Garrett Komisarek joins the Irvine Valley coaching staff after concluding his college playing career as a libero at the University of Hawaii.

Komisarek helped Hawaii reach the NCAA Final Four Championship match in the spring of 2015.

His college career started at Irvine Valley College, where he played the libero position for two years with a lot of success.

Komisarek and the Lasers won the State Championship in 2011.

In 2012, the team reached the State Championship final four where Komisarek was named to the all-state team. He was also named second-team all-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference in 2012. Komisarek finished fifth in the state at 2.77 digs per set.

Komisarek is a graduate of St. Francis (Mountain View) High School.

He has coached girls junior sand volleyball and boys indoor volleyball with Mountain View Volleyball Club and has also coached at the juniors level at Orange Coast Volleyball Club and Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club in Mission Viejo. 

Komisarek received his bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Hawaii in May 2015.
