Irvine Valley's athlete of the week for Oct. 30 is freshman women's soccer player Sydnee Salamoff.
The starting goalie for IVC, Salamoff recorded her fourth shutout of the year last Tuesday in the Lasers' 3-0 Orange Empire Conference win at Fullerton.
She made eight saves in the match and had 14 total on the week.
Salamoff has a record of 5-9 on the season and has four shutouts total.
She ranks second in the Orange Empire Conference in saves with 91 and has a .711 save percentage.
Salamoff has started 17 matches this season and has a 2.42 goals against average.
She was a standout at Northwood High in Irvine before arriving at Irvine Valley.
Irvine Valley hosts Santiago Canyon on Tuesday in a conference match at 3 p.m.
