The Irvine Valley women's indoor volleyball team was selected as a United States Marine Corps-American Volleyball Coaches Association scholar team athlete winner.
The Lasers, led by coach Ryan Windisch, finished the fall of 2022 with a team grade point average of 3.460 as a team.
IVC squad members Felicia Bonus, Gabi Brown and Kendall Fraser each had 4.00 GPA's.
Congratulations to the IVC team, which also shined on the court, winning an Orange Empire Conference title and finished with a record of 20-5 overall.
Irvine Valley and Feather River were selected as California Community College Athletic Association teams in the state to receiver the award.
