Irvine Valley athletics is excited to start to announce schedules for the 2021 fall season with women's and men's soccer and women's volleyball, as well as the 2021-22 winter seasons with women's and men's basketball.
The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team is slated to play its first match of the 2021 season at College of the Canyons on Friday, Aug. 27.
The Lasers will play their first home contest on Friday, Sept. 3 against San Diego Miramar at 6 p.m.
The squad is led by coach Ryan Windisch, a former men's volleyball standout at IVC.
Windisch has been the head coach of the Irvine Valley men's team since 2019.
Windisch has also been a key assistant for the women's indoor volleyball and beach volleyball squads for several years.
The Irvine Valley women's volleyball team had an overall record of 27-1 the last time it played a full season in 2019.
Windisch replaces legendary IVC coach Tom Pestolesi, who retired this past year.
