Irvine Valley women's tennis suspended for the 2022 season

Irvine Valley College Athletics has announced that it is suspending the women's tennis program for the 2022 spring season.

Due to a lack of players for a full squad to compete, IVC made the decision to not participate in a 2022 campaign.

"In this unfortunate circumstance, it is our intent to provide maximum opportunity to student-athletes and we are encouraging students to transfer and compete for other colleges," Irvine Valley Dean and Athletic Director Keith Shackleford announced on Tuesday.

The Lasers finished with a record of 5-3 in the Orange Empire Conference this past spring and ended in third place.
