Fomer soccer player Kailey Earl named scholar athlete at OUAZ

Former Irvine Valley women's soccer player Kailey Earl was recently named a scholar athlete at NAIA Ottawa University in Surprise, Ariz.

The NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) announced its list of women's soccer scholar-athletes and the Spirit had 11 players listed for prowess on the pitch and in the classroom.

To qualify, a student-athlete must be at least a junior, be a varsity letter winner, and have a minimum GPA of 3.40.

Earl was a senior defender for the Spirt this past season.

The team finished with a 14-4-1 record and reached the Round of 16 in the NAIA National tournament. She played two seasons at Ottawa.

Earl was a freshman defender for the Lasers and one of the top players on the squad during the fall 2021 year at IVC.

She started all 21 matches for the Lasers during the 2021 fall campaign.
