The Irvine Valley women's basketball team has won four Orange Empire Conference games in a row and will try and grab a fifth on Friday at home at 6 p.m.
The Lasers, ranked No. 14 in the state, defeated Cypress, 71-47, on Wednesday on the road.
IVC has a record of 13-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Irvine Valley is second in the OEC standings.
Sophomore guard Emily Freeman finished with 18 points and made six three pointers for the Lasers on Wednesday at Cypress. She also added five assists and three steals in the victory.
Freshman guard Moka Saiki added 17 points and went 7 of 9 from the field.
IVC sophomore post player Makena Tomlinson ended with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Sophomore wing Christen Ziska chipped in eight points and four rebounds for the Lasers.
On the season, Tomlinson and Saiki are each averaging 11.6 points per game.
Ziska averages 11.1 points and Freeman is averaging 9.3 points per game. Tomlinson leads the way in rebounding at 9.5 per game with Ziska at 4.6 per game.
Freshman guard Haruka Mikuma paces the squad in assists per game at 3.4.
Saddleback enters Friday night's match-up with a 6-12 record overall and its 0-5 in the conference.
The Bobcats are coming off of a 70-36 loss at Fullerton Wednesday.
Aleksia Gadea and Alex Surrena-Thompson each finished with eight points for Saddleback.
Lineni Uaine added eight rebounds.
On the season, Surrena-Thompson is averaging 14.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, Moanike'ala Scott averages 13.8 points and Gadea is averaging 12.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
