The Irvine Valley women's basketball team had three players named to all-Orange Empire teams earlier this week.
And one player earned a special award.
Freshman star guards Trasara Alexander and Kennedy Pucci were each selected first team all-conference and standout guard Emily Freeman was picked to the second team.
Pucci was also named the defensive player of the year in the conference.
Irvine Valley was ranked in the top 20 in the state the whole season and won 20 games, going 20-8 under first-year coach Jason Garey.
The Lasers were seeded No. 8 in the California Community College Athletic Association SoCal Regional Playoffs, received a bye in the first round and will take on No. 9 Mt. San Jacinto on Saturday at home at 5:30 p.m.
Alexander has had a special year for the Lasers so far. She is averaging 15.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game overall.
In conference play, the freshman guard out of Corona del Mar High was even better in conference play, averaging 21.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Pucci, a sophomore, averaged 9.7 points and 4.1 rebounds a game, while also guarding the opponents' top guard most games.
And Freeman, a freshman sharp-shooter, averaged 8.8 points. She made 33 three-pointers on the season.
