Alumni Report: Gafford finishes first season with Simpson
July 04, 2023Former Irvine Valley standout guard Rachel Gafford helped NAIA Simpson University finish with a record of 20-11 overall and 16-4 in the Cal Pac Conference. Gafford was part of the IVC 2021-22 team that reached the state tourney.

Women's basketball player Kennedy Pucci signs with Hope
June 15, 2023Kennedy Pucci, who was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference and the defensive player of the year in the OEC is headed to NAIA Hope International. She averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists for IVC this year.

Star basketball player Trasara Alexander signs with Biola
June 13, 2023Irvine Valley freshman guard Trasara Alexander recently signed with NCAA Division II Biola University. Alexander was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference and helped the Lasers to a CCCAA So. Cal. Regional Final.

Alumni Report: Nguyen plays big part in solid Westcliff season
May 27, 2023Former Irvine Valley guard Katie Nguyen started 26 games and averaged 5.5 points and 6.2 rebounds for a Westcliff team that went 16-12 overall. She was an award winner and scholar athlete in her time with the Lasers.

April 03, 2023Irvine Valley honored its 2022-23 women's basketball team with a banquet last week. The coaching staff handed out several awards, spent time with family and friends and looked back on a season where IVC went 21-9 overall.

February 23, 2023Irvine Valley women's basketball players Trasara Alexander, Kennedy Pucci are picked first team all-Orange Empire Conference and Emily Freeman is named second team. Pucci is also selected defensive player of the year.

Women's basketball team seeded eighth in SoCal Playoffs
February 20, 2023Irvine Valley is seeded eighth in the SoCal Regional Playoffs and will host a game Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Lasers (20-8 overall) will host either No. 9 Mt. San Jacinto or No. 24 Santa Barbara City. That game is Wednesday.

February 14, 2023Irvine Valley celebrates its sophomores and earns its 20th win of the season with a 63-47 Orange Empire Conference victory over Fullerton on Tuesday night at home. Kennedy Pucci leads the way for IVC with 20 points.

February 13, 2023Irvine Valley takes on Fullerton at 5 p.m. in the last game of the regular season. Irvine Valley, ranked No. 16 in the state, has a record of 19-8 overall and 7-4 in the Orange Empire Conference. It is also sophomore night for IVC.

February 10, 2023Irvine Valley and Cypress were basically tied for second place in the Orange Empire Conference standings going into Friday's big match-up at Cypress. The Chargers came out on top, 72-55. IVC hosts Fullerton Tuesday at 5 p.m.

February 08, 2023Irvine Valley bests Riverside by 10 points in the fourth quarter to come away with a key 70-62 Orange Empire Conference victory on the road Wednesday. Trasara Alexander (29 points) and Kennedy Pucci (17 points) lead IVC.

January 27, 2023Irvine Valley plays one of the top teams in the state close once again, but comes up short at Orange Coast, 66-57, Friday night. IVC is led by Kennedy Pucci, who finishes with 24 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

January 20, 2023Irvine Valley trailed by as many as 12 points in the third quarter, but out-scored Fullerton, 32-18, in the fourth to come back for a 74-64 road win Friday. IVC, ranked No. 16 in the state, went to 16-6 overall and 4-2 in the OEC.
