Women's basketball coach Julie Hanks smashes 400 career wins

Irvine Valley women's basketball coach Julie Hanks went into the 2019-20 season with a career record of 389-222 over 22 years.

She smashed the 400-win mark in 2019-20 after leading the Lasers to an impressive 25-3 record.

Hanks moved her career mark through 23 seasons to 414-225. 

The Lasers were great not only this past season, but over the past three years.

IVC has reached one California Community College Athletic Association State Championship and two Regional Finals.

Irvine Valley has a record of 74-14 overall since the 2017-18 campaign and sports an outstanding record of 27-3 in conference.

IVC has captured three straight conference titles and Hanks has been named coach of the year in the conference each of the past three seasons.

Irvine Valley players, under Hanks' guidance, have also been named player of the year in the OEC all three years with Kasey Smith (2017-18), Lexi Vail (2018-19) and Anai Washington (2019-20) earning honors.

Irvine Valley has made the state tournament twice under Hanks.
