Also in doubles freshmen Elise Lau and Weichin Hsu took fifth place.

In singles action, freshman Yan Luo was fifth and Huang came in seventh.

Next up for the Lasers, who captured the South Coast Conference title, is a match in the California Community College Athletic Association State Championship on Thursday, May 12.

IVC takes on De Anza, the top team from Northern California, in the state final at Fresno City.
