Last week, the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southern California rankings were released and the Irvine Valley men's team moved up from third to second in the poll.
IVC was ranked No. 3 in the first poll, sponsored by Tennis-Point, on Feb. 8.
With two more wins last week, the Lasers have a record of 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the Orange Empire Conference.
Irvine Valley has this week off for spring break, but plays its final two matches of the regular season next week. The Lasers play at Fullerton next Tuesday at 2 p.m. and then host Riverside on Thursday at 2 p.m.
IVC leads Riverside by one match for first place in the conference standings. The Lasers knocked off the Tigers on the road on Mar. 7 in a match that went down to the final singles contest.
