After dropping its first three matches of the 2021 season, the Irvine Valley men's soccer team earned its first win, defeating Los Angeles City, 3-2, on Tuesday on the road.

IVC fell at home against El Camino, 1-0, at Hartnell, 2-1, and then to Cerritos, 3-1.

Irvine Valley got two goals from freshman forward Ivan Lopez in the first half half to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.

LA City tied the match with a goal from Felipe Alvarez early in the second half.

But sophomore midfielder Victor Onofre scored the game-winner for the Lasers on a free kick in the final minute.
