Irvine Valley's baseball team took the second game and evened its series with LA Harbor on Wednesday afternoon the road.
After falling to LA Harbor, 3-2, at home on Tuesday, the Lasers went on the road and rallied for a victory.
Irvine Valley defeated Harbor, 9-4, to improve its record to 10-17 overall.
The Lasers found themselves down, 4-0, after three innings, but scored the final nine runs of the contest.
IVC scored a run in the top of the fourth, two runs in both the fifth and the sixth innings to take a 5-4 lead and then added a single run in the top of the eighth and three more in the ninth on its way to the win.
Freshman right-hander Tyler Eastham earned his second win of the season on the mound, going six innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
Freshman Colin Rhee picked up his fourth save of the year, pitching three scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and had four strikeouts.
IVC took the lead for good in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single to center by freshman leftfielder Drew Seidel.
The Lasers made it a 6-4 game in the top of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by freshman second baseman Nomar Vasquez. And the Lasers put the game away with an RBI double by freshman catcher Aaron Serrato and a two-run groundout by sophomore shortstop Conner Hoskinson.
Sophomore third baseman Darren Shorter went 3 for 4 with a walk, one run and one RBI, Seidel finished 2 for 5 with a run and one RBI, sophomore centerfielder Shane Stafford had two hits and Hoskinson was 1 for 2 with a walk, two runs and two RBI for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley plays again on Thursday, hosting Ventura at 2 p.m.
