The Irvine Valley women's beach volleyball team completed a perfect Orange Empire Conference season with a 5-0 victory over Riverside at home on Friday.
The win improved Irvine Valley's record to 15-4 overall and 14-0 in conference.
IVC also honored its sophomore players. They included Tessa Marocco, Kenzie Dews, Natalia Brandlin, Mia Bertolone, Ava Guenther and Felicia Bonus.
Irvine Valley won four of the five matches on Friday in straight sets.
The duo of Marocco and Dews won, 21-12, 21-12 on the first court.
The No. 2 team of Brandlin and freshman Audrey Fowler came out on top, 21-14, 21-16.
Bertolone and freshman Avery Bennett won, 21-9, 21-11 at No. 3
The team of Guenther and Bonus earned a 21-19, 21-11 victory on the fourth court.
And the No. 5 duo of freshmen Nikki Korneff and Alya Mersin rallied for a 9-21, 21-15, 17-15 win to close things out for the Lasers.
Next up for the Lasers is the OEC pairs tournament next Wednesday at Irvine Valley. Matches get started at noon and the event will wrap up on Friday, starting at 10 a.m.
