  • CCCAA Board announces plan for return to sports in 2021
    July 10, 2020
    The California Community College Athletic Association Board of Directors announced the implementation of its Contingency Plan for return to sports in 2020-21 on Thursday. All of IVC's 11 sports will be played in the spring.
  • Alumni report: Yvette Belman honored at Missouri Valley

    Former Irvine Valley women's soccer player standout Yvette Belman was named first-team Heart of America Athletic Conference at Missouri Valley College. She was one of three former Lasers on the Vikings this year.
  • Women's soccer players Kutcher and Savin named all-OEC
    November 20, 2019
    Irvine Valley freshman defender Amanda Kutcher, who led the Lasers in goals and points on the year, was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference and sophomore forward Cierra Savin was named to the second team.

    Irvine Valley goes on the road and beats the No. 13 team in the state, taking down Fullerton, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon in an OEC match. Cierra Savin scores the winning goal in the 92nd minute off a pass from Amanda Kutcher.

    Irvine Valley drops its second 1-0 decision to Golden West this season in an Orange Empire Conference match on Friday at home. Irvine Valley hit the post with shots twice in the contest. IVC plays at Fullerton next Tuesday.

    Irvine Valley gives up two goals in the first 13 minutes and sees five of its shots hit the post, but the Lasers rally with two goals and come away with a 2-2 tie against Saddleback in an Orange Empire Conference match on Friday.

    Irvine Valley gets a goal from Betsabet Corrales in the 53rd minute and holds on behind the defense of Sheida Suazo, Amanda Kutcher, Diana Lugo, Sachi Singh and Heather Miller in a 1-0 win over Santa Ana at home Tuesday.

    Golden West scores in the 78th minute and beats Irvine Valley, 1-0, in the first Orange Empire Conference match of the season. IVC's record drops to 3-4-2 overall. The Lasers are back home on Friday, hosting Fullerton at 3 p.m.

    Irvine Valley draws with El Camino, 0-0, in a match on Tuesday at home. Irvine Valley now moves into Orange Empire Conference play with a record of 2-4-2 overall. The Lasers play on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 3 p.m.
  • Women's soccer team can't get past Long Beach City
    September 17, 2019
    Irvine Valley gets two goals from sophomore Marissa Banos, but gives up two own goals in a 4-2 defeat to Long Beach City on Tuesday at home. The Lasers, who saw their record slip to 2-4-1 overall, host El Camino on Friday.

    September 10, 2019
    Freshman midfielder Hope Carr scores off an assist from freshman defender Amanda Kutcher in the 90th minute to help Irvine Valley defeat San Diego City, 2-1, on the road Tuesday afternoon. Kutcher also had a goal for IVC.
  • Women's soccer team loses tough match to Norco at home
    September 06, 2019
    Irvine Valley responds twice after falling behind, but Norco scores the final two goals of the contest and beats the Lasers, 5-3, in a match at IVC on Friday. Betsabet Corrales, Cierra Savin and Amanda Kutcher record goals for IVC.

    Irvine Valley tries to rally late, but falls to LA Harbor, 3-2, in a nonconference match on Tuesday at home. Giselle Garcia and Amanda Kutcher had goals on the day for IVC. The Lasers host Norco at home on Friday at 4 p.m.
  • Women's soccer team beats Pierce for first win of 2019
    August 31, 2019
    Irvine Valley comes from behind to beat LA Pierce on the road Friday afternoon for its first victory of the 2019 season. Marissa Banos and Diane Lugo score goals for the Lasers, who even their record at 1-1-0 on the year.
