Sophomore standout Irvine Valley women's soccer player Savanna Hayes has decided where she is headed next.

Hayes signed with NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Green Bay this week. She is looking forward to playing for the Phoenix.

Irvine Valley coach Joe Supe said that Hayes is one of the top players to come through the IVC program during his time running the program.

Hayes was named the team's most valuable player this past year and gave opposing offensive players fits with her smart, physical and tactical play.

Hayes was named first team all-Orange Empire Conference this past season.

Hayes started all 42 matches in her career at IVC.

As a team captain, she started all 20 matches in the fall of 2018 for the Lasers. She scored one goal, but it was her defensive prowess that helped the Lasers be competitive in matches throughout the year.

The former El Toro High player is headed to a UW-Green Bay team that finished with a record of 2-13-2 last fall.
