The Irvine Valley women's basketball team, ranked No. 7 in the state, used a big, 34-point third quarter, to pull away and beat Fullerton, 95-57, Monday night at home in a Orange Empire Conference game.

The contest was tight through most of the first half.

IVC led, 23-20, after the first quarter and then, 46-32, at the end of the first half.

But the Lasers took control in the third quarter. Irvine Valley out-scored Fullerton, 34-12, in the period and never looked back.

It was the fourth time this season that IVC has scored at least 90 points in a victory and the ninth time this season that the Lasers have won a game by at least 30 points.
