Men's volleyball team scores easy win at Golden West

Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team got back to its winning ways on Wednesday night.

The Lasers, ranked No. 3 in the state, started fast and swept Golden West, 25-11, 25-16, 25-14, on the road in an Orange Empire Conference match Wednesday night.

IVC improved its record to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in conference.

Coach Ryan Windisch's squad hit .327 as a team and was led by sophomore outside hitter Jaden Churchill, who had seven kills, hit .455 and added three blocks.

Freshman outside hitter Karl Stenlund added five kills, freshman libero Adam Schulte added five digs and freshman setter Donovan Gudino ran the offense with 18 assists.

The Lasers are back in action on Friday at home against No. 10 Fullerton in a conference match at 6 p.m.
