Irvine Valley's men's soccer team was ranked seventh in the final California Community College Athletics Association state poll of the season last week.
The Lasers just added another prestigious post-season ranking.
Irvine Valley was placed No. 10 in the nation for Division III community colleges by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Lasers finished the 2016 season with a record of 16-5-3 overall. IVC was second in the Orange Empire Conference and reached a So. Cal. Regional Playoff Final before falling to eventual state champion Mt. SAC, 3-2.
Richland College of Texas was picked the No. 1 team in the Division III poll.
Mt. SAC came in at No. 2 and was followed by Fresno City, Herkimer College of New York and Oxnard to round out the top five.
Sufffolk County College of New York was sixth, Taft was ranked No. 7, Hartnell came in at No. 8 and Feather River was No. 9.
It is the second straight year that Irvine Valley was ranked in the NSCAA's top 10. After the 2015 season, Irvine Valley was ranked ninth in the nation.
