Men's golf team picks up a win in its home match at Oak Creek

Freshman Jinhan Park shot a 3 over par score of 74 to lead the Irvine Valley men's team to a victory in the team's home hosted match on Wednesday afternoon at Oak Creek Golf Course.

The Lasers went 1-4 on the day, beating Mt. SAC and falling to Cypress, Riverside, Orange Coast and Saddleback.

IVC nearly got Saddleback as well.

Irvine Valley finished with a team score of 403 on the day to beat Mt. SAC's 407. Saddleback came in at 401.

Cypress went undefeated and moved into a tie for first place in the conference standings with a score of 370.

Park's round included three birdies, 10 pars, four bogeys and a double bogey.

IVC's other score in the 70's was posted by freshman Junya Honda.

He had one eagle, two birdies, eight pars, three bogeys, three double bogeys and a triple bogey.

The next conference match is Monday's Neutral Site match at the El Camino Golf Course near Oceanside.

El Camino will be the location of the SoCal Regionals.
