Men's golfer wraps up season with strong showing at regionals

Irvine Valley men's golfer Nate Noblitt finished his freshman season up with a strong effort at the Southern California Regional Finals on Monday at StoneRidge Country Club in Poway.

Noblitt was four shots shy of qualifying for the State Championships.

It took 148 to qualify.

Noblitt shot 152. He carded a 76 in the opening round and then matched that with a 76 in the second round.

Noblitt had four the fourth-best score among individual players in the event.

Two teams (College of the Canyons and Riverside) and 12 individual players advanced to the State Championships next week at the Victoria Club in Riverside.
