Men's golf team hosts conference match

Irvine Valley's men's golf team held its Orange Empire Conference home match on Wednesday and came in eighth out of eight teams.

The Lasers finished with a score of 399 at Green River Golf Course in Corona.

Orange Coast won the match with a score of 363.

Palomar was second at 365 and Cuyamaca came in third at 367.

Riverside was fourth at 369, Cypress and Santiago Canyon tied for fifth at 375, but Cypress won on the tiebreaker.

Saddleback was seventh at 376 and Irvine Valley finished eighth.

Irvine Valley was led by freshman Jed Meng, who finished with a score of 77. Sophomore Michael Glauser finished next for IVC with a score of 78.

Freshman Tyler Hall, making his second start of the season, finished with his low score of the year at 80.

Sophomore Steven Meyer had an 81 and freshman Tyler Chavous rounded out the team's scoring with a score of 83.

Irvine Valley plays next in the Orange Empire Conference Finals at Los Serranos in Chino Hills on April 29.
