Freshman Kyle Rawlings, who red-shirted for the Irvine Valley baseball team in 2020, recently signed with NAIA Westcliff University in Irvine.
Rawlings plays first base or outfield.
He was a three-year varsity player at San Juan Hills High before arriving at IVC.
Rawlings helped San Juan Hills to a 17-16 overall record and trip to the CIF Playoffs as a senior in 2019. The team made the second round of the playoffs.
He hit .255 on the year with four doubles and 16 RBI.
As a sophomore in 2017, Rawlings had the highest batting average in the Sea View League, hitting .345 with 11 RBI.
He is headed to a Westcliff team that was off to a 19-8 record overall before the season was halted because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Warriors had won four straight games and nine of their last 10 when the season came to a close.
Irvine Valley had a record of 11-10 overall when the season was cancelled.
