Irvine Valley's baseball team had a big day on Tuesday in a nonconference game at Los Angeles Harbor.

The Lasers scored their second most runs in a game this season, beating LA Harbor, 15-1.

Irvine Valley defeated West Los Angeles, 17-2, earlier this year.

IVC finished with 17 hits on Tuesday, led by sophomore center fielder Dillon Millar and freshman right fielder Weston Ellis, who each had four-hit games.

Millar went 4 for 6 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI, while Ellis was 4 for 5 with two runs, a home run, a triple and four RBI. Ellis was a double away from the cycle.

Sophomore catcher Branden Williams was 2 for 6 with a double and two runs scored.

Freshman third baseman Austin Reynolds, freshman second baseman Adam Rossit and freshman first baseman Alec Ceniceros each drove in three runs for IVC.

Two big innings were the difference for IVC. The Lasers led, 1-0, through six innings, but scored seven runs in both the top of the seventh and eighth innings to pull away.

Sophomore right-hander Cole Millerd was solid on the mound. He went eight strong innings and gave up just one run on nine hits with just one walk. Millerd improved his record to 2-1 on the season.

Sophomore Andrew Jimenez pitched one-two-three ninth inning for IVC.

Irvine Valley, which snapped a four-game skid, hosts Harbor on Thursday at 2 p.m.
