Irvine Valley's women's beach volleyball team picked up its second win in Orange Empire Conference play with a 4-1 victory over Riverside at home on Friday.
IVC improved its record to 2-1 in conference play and 3-8 overall. Seven of the team's losses have come against four-year schools.
Irvine Valley played some of its best volleyball of the season in the win over Riverside.
The Lasers received straight-set victories from its top pair of sophomore Lucee Fitzgerald and freshman Taira Ka'awaloa, its No. 3 pair of sophomores Jacqueline Millerd and Brittany Tuliau and the No. 4 pair of freshmen Hannah Holder and Hannah Salaya.
Irvine Valley's pair of sophomore Alissa Blevins and freshman Ally Sassman pulled out a three-set win on the second court. The duo won, 15-12, in the third set.
Irvine Valley will be back in action next Friday at home against Santa Ana and Saddleback.
