In leading up to the start of the each school year, the Irvine Valley athletics department counts down the top 10 Irvine Valley sports stories from the previous school year.
This countdown first appeared during the summer of 2014 and highlighted the many accomplishments both on and off the court of IVC teams, student athletes and coaches.
The countdown begins in August and finishes up just before the start of fall sports action.
This year's official 2019-20 Irvine Valley athletics schedule starts on Tuesday, Aug. 27 with the women's soccer team playing on the road at San Diego Mesa and the men's soccer team hosting Rio Hondo at 3 p.m.
With a lot of success by Irvine Valley teams year in and year out, the selections for the annual IVC top 10 stories also end up being difficult ones.
This year's list will begin being posted on Monday, Aug. 19.
