
Irvine Valley's women's tennis team recorded another easy win over an Orange Empire Conference opponent.
The Lasers improved their record to 6-0 overall with a 9-0 victory at Cypress on Thursday afternoon.
It was the second shutout in conference play for the Lasers as they improved to 3-0 in the OEC.
Irvine Valley dropped just seven total games on the day.
The Lasers cruised in both singles and doubles and especially in singles action.
Irvine Valley didn't lose a game in the first five contests.
Freshman Soleil Zsibrita, sophomore Sabrina Mendy, sophomore Ashley Le, freshman Justice Tien and freshman Nicole Harper each won, 6-0, 6-0.
Sophomore Ariyana Ash also had a solid performance at the No. 6 singles spot. She came out on top, 6-3, 6-1.
In doubles play, Irvine Valley received a 8-0 win from Le and Mendy on the first court. Zsibriti and Harper won, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles and Tien and Ash came through, 8-1, on the third court.
Irvine Valley is back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Fullerton for a conference match at 2 p.m.
