Women's tennis team earns 7-2 conference win at Fullerton

Irvine Valley's women's tennis team picked up its third win in Orange Empire Conference action with a 7-2 victory at Fullerton on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lasers, ranked No. 3 in Southern California, improved their record to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in conference.

IVC got off to a good start by taking all three matches in doubles.

The Lasers then recorded victories in four of six singles matches.

IVC's top team of freshman Halla Alajeely and sophomore Fiorella Dreux won , 8-2, the No. 2 team of Ariana Hedayati and Abigail Perez came out on top, 8-6, and the third team of freshman Anna Krechetova and sophomore Lauren MacDonnell won, 8-5.

Alajeely didn't drop a game in cruising at No. 1 singles for the Lasers and Dreux (No. 3 singles), Perez (No. 4) and sophomore Lindsey Van de Water (No. 6) each won matches in straight sets.

Irvine Valley plays again on the road on Thursday, traveling to Riverside for a 2 p.m. conference match.
