Jacqueline Martinez is in her third year as an assistant at Irvine Valley and head coach Joe Supe is excited to have the bright, young coach on staff.

Martinez was a star player in college at Santiago Canyon College and then Concordia University.

Martinez played at Santiago Canyon during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, red-shirted at Concordia in 2010 and then played with the Eagles in 2011 and 2012.

She was named all-Golden State Athletic Conference for Concordia in 2011. She played in 17 of 19 games and registered 16 points with six goals and four assists.

In 2012, Martinez played in 17 matches and started 16 contests for the Eagles.

At Santiago Canyon, Martinez was part of teams that had a combined record of 41-2-7 over her two years there. In 2009, the squad went 23-0-2 and won the state championship. Santiago Canyon was also named national champions in 2009.

She went to high school at Orange Lutheran and graduated in 2007. Martinez played four seasons of varsity soccer and also ran cross country and track.

Martinez also coaches at Mater Dei High and with the Strikers club team.

Formerly Jacqueline Turner, she was married in 2014.
