Title: Assistant Coach

George Deverrick is beginning his second year as an assistant coach/goalkeeper coach for the Irvine Valley women's soccer team.

Deverrick is also the varsity head coach and program director of Tesoro High girls soccer.

He helped lead the Tesoro varsity team to one of the most successful seasons in program history last season.

Tesoro recorded its most wins (24) and reached the CIF-SS Division 1 and CIF-Div 1 Regional Final in the 2015-16 season.

The squad finished as league runners-up the past two seasons in Sea View League and will play in the South Coast League for the 2016-17 season.

Under Deverrick, Tesoro has won the prestigious Excalibur Tournament at Foothill High in 2014 and also captured the consolation tournament in 2015.

And Deverrick coaches at Strikers FC-MV as well. He is the head coach of the boys 2001 and 2004 teams.

He holds a USSF “C” license, National Youth License and NSCAA Premier Diploma and National Goalkeeping Diploma, Special Topics Diploma - Tactical thinking, Defending principles.

And he has a Cal South Goalkeeping & Striker finishing diploma.
