Women's soccer team earns positive result at LA Harbor

The Irvine Valley women's socer team earned its second positive result of the season on Friday afternoon, tying LA Harbor, 1-1, on the road in a non-conference contest.

The Lasers got their goal from freshman forward Mikaela Arnone off an assist from freshman midfielder Natalia Guzman.

Irvine Valley freshman goalie Frida Molina ended with six saves in the tie.

The Lasers' starting 11 were Molina, Zoe Teal, Kailey Earl, Kathleen Vivaldo, Madison Ortega, Leah Maris, Julia Butz, Priscilla Munoz, Arnone, Yvonne Ventura and Guzman.

IVC improved its record to 1-3-1 overall.

Irvine Valley's next three matches are home contests at the OC Great Park. IVC hosts Compton at 3 p.m. on Great Park field No. 21. Fans are welcome with social distancing.
