Irvine Valley freshman women's golfer Kylie Sok shined once again.
Sok, who placed sixth in her first tournament for the Lasers two weeks ago, tied for second at the Desert Classic at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort last Friday and Saturday in Palm Springs.
Sok had a two-day total of 3 over par 149. She tied with Lichi Liu of College of the Desert.
Saddleback's Brittney Do was the medalist with a 3 under par 143.
Sok was named to the all-tournament team for the second week in a row.
Sok helped Irvine Valley place sixth out of 12 teams in the event with a two-day team score of 680.
Santa Barbara City won the event at 643, host Desert was second at 646 and Saddleback came in third at 653.
After Sok, freshman Vera Yuan was IVC's next scorer at 167. Yuan finished up the tournament with a score of 81 on Saturday.
Sophomore Esther Kim finished at 177 and sophomore Akie Sannomiya came in at 187 to round out the scoring for the Lasers. Freshman Sabina Kim finished at 195 for IVC.
Irvine Valley plays again next Wednesday, starting Orange Empire Conference action with a match against Fullerton at Diamond Bar.
