Irvine Valley's women's golf team stayed in second place in the Orange Empire Conference with two wins and two losses its match on Wednesday at Alta Vista in Placentia.
The Lasers finished with a four-player team score of 360.
Saddleback won with a score of 347 and Orange Coast was second at 352.
Irvine Valley defeated Mt. SAC (368) and Fullerton (384).
The Lasers had two of the top three individual finishers.
Freshman Araceli Esquivel took second with a score of 78. Sophomore Marisa Bhanubandh came in third at 80.
Saddleback's Mekenzie Purcell was the medalist at 75.
Rounding out Irvine Valley's scoring was sophomore Alexis McLachlan, who carded 97, and freshman Aki Sanomiya, who came in at 105.
Irvine Valley plays again next Wednesday when it hosts a conference match at Oak Creek Golf Club. The match starts at 11 a.m.
