
Irvine Valley's women's basketball team moved its record to 10-6 overall and 1-1 in the Orange Empire Conference with a 74-60 Orange Empire Conference win at Santa Ana on Friday night.
The Lasers led, 38-25, at the half, and were up by as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter before winning by 14.
Irvine Valley had three players score in double figures.
Sophomore wing Christen Ziska ended with a game-high 22 points. She went 7 of 13 from the field and made 4 of 8 three-pointers. Ziska also finished with six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
IVC sophomore guard Emily Freeman finished with 14 points, making 4 of 7 from beyond the arch, and had two steals in the game.
Irvine Valley post player Makena Tomlinson contributed 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Freshman guard Moka Saiki had nine points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals and sophomore forward Ella Will added eight points for IVC.
The Lasers play again at home on Wednesday, taking on Golden West in an OEC game at 6 p.m.
