The 2018-19 Irvine Valley women's basketball schedule has been released and posted at ivclasers.com.
Irvine Valley will open the season in the Lady Gaucho Classic tournament at Saddleback College from Friday, Nov. 16 to Sunday, Nov. 18.
IVC will then play at Glendale on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. before playing its first home games of the season.
The Lasers will host the Irvine Valley College Tournament from Thursday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 8.
IVC will also compete in the Coast Christmas Classic at Orange Coast from Dec. 17-19 and at the VC-Optimist Club Holiday Tournament at Ventura from Dec. 28-30.
Irvine Valley will play at San Diego City on Friday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. to wrap up non-conference play.
The Lasers, who are the co-defending Orange Empire Conference champs, open OEC action at home on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
Irvine Valley will take on Orange Coast, Fullerton, Saddleback, Riverside, Copper Mountain, Santa Ana and Cypress in conference.
The Lasers close out the regular season with back-to-back home games, hosting Santa Ana on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. and Cypress on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.
Irvine Valley shared the conference title with Cypress last year.
Irvine Valley is coming off one of the best seasons in school history. The Lasers had a record of 26-5 overall in 2017-18, won a share of the OEC title and made the program's second-ever appearance in the CCCAA State Championship tournament.
The team ended up ranked No. 8 in the final CCCSIA Top 20 State Poll of the year.
And coach Julie Hanks has another strong recruiting class ready for the coming season.
