Irvine Valley's women's basketball team did it again.
The Lasers, ranked ninth in the state, took it to another Orange Empire Conference opponent.
This time it was Santa Ana at home on Friday night.
After winning its first three conference games by 44, 23 and 86 points, Irvine Valley defeated the Dons, 82-40.
The win was Irvine Valley's sixth in a row and improved their record to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in conference.
Irvine Valley has now out-scored its four conference opponents, 365-168.
Friday night's game was never in doubt. The Lasers were up, 21-8, after the first quarter and, 36-16, at the half.
IVC made 14 field goals to just five for Santa Ana in the first half.
The Lasers scored their most points in the third quarter (29) to blow the game open. Irvine Valley carried a 65-29 lead into the final period.
For the game, Irvine Valley shot 43.1 percent (31 of 72), including 48.6 percent (17 of 35) in the second half.
The Lasers also out-rebounded Santa Ana, 52-31, and had 18 assists on their 31 made baskets.
Five players scored in double figures for Irvine Valley, led by sophomore guard Elizabeth Garcia with 18 points, seven assists and four steals.
Sophomore forward Kiara Warren with 17 points, seven rebounds and three steals, freshman guard Lexi Vail finished with 14 points, four rebounds and five assists and sophomore forward Kasey Smit ended with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four steals despite being in foul trouble in the first half.
Freshman guard Cydnie Danan, who made the opening three-pointer of the game for IVC, contributed 10 points, five rebounds and three assists. And sophomore guard Mary Dishoian chipped in six points and five rebounds.
Santa Ana, which shot just 27.1 percent (13 of 48) from the field as a team, got 14 points and eight rebounds from Alexis Casillas.
Irvine Valley will need to be ready for a tough test next Wednesday when it travels to two-time defending conference champion Cypress for a 7 p.m. contest.
