Jordan Coleman named honorable mention All-American by WBCA

Irvine Valley sophomore guard Jordan Coleman has been selected as All-America Team Honorable Mention in the Junior/Community College division by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the second straight season.

Coleman was recently also named all-Orange Empire Conference first team for the second year in a row.

The versatile 5-7 guard averaged 8.7 points, 3.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game through the regular season and 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game in conference.

Coleman scored in double figures in 14 games. She had a streak of six straight games scoring in double figures early in the season with a season-high 24 points coming in a win over San Diego Mesa on Nov. 10, 2015.

Coleman helped Irvine Valley make its second straight trip to the Southern California Regional Playoff Finals this year. The Lasers ended the year with a record of 23-8 overall.

In her two-year career at IVC, Coleman averaged 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
