Zoran Korac Jr. joins the IVC men's tennis staff as an assistant coach in 2016.

He helped guide the men's team to its second straight CCCAA state title this past season along with Javier Callejo capturing the state singles championshp and the team of Scott Paz and Bruno Figlia winning the state doubles title.

Korac played at UC Irvine between 1999-2005.

He was born and raised in San Marino, California and was a standout player at San Marino High where he helped the Titans win four CIF titles in a row.

In 1998, San Marino was ranked No. 1 in the nation for high school tennis.

Also while at San Marino, Korac won the CIF Ojai title in the spring of 1999. He was ranked No. 2 in Southern California and No. 23 in the nation.

He joined the UCI team in 1999 then spent two years at Orange Coast College before rejoining the Anteaters from 2003-05.

Korac has received an ATP point in doubles at a Laguna Niguel futures event.

He has been coaching since his days in college at various camps and at UCI, the Advantage Tennis Academy.

Korac also teaches independently throughout Irvine and Newport Beach.

His nephew Bjorn Hoffman, who was a top player at Corona del Mar High, went on to play at Cal Berkeley.

Korac and his wife Janoah live in Tustin with their two daughters Zaylie and Lochlyn.

He said he is excited to share his knowledge and experience with the team and expects dedication and effort from the IVC players.
