The Irvine Valley men's tennis team captured its second sweep of the week Thursday afternoon at home, defeating Bakersfield, 9-0.
The Lasers improved their record to 3-1 overall.
IVC had already knocked off Fullerton in an Orange Empire Conference, 9-0, on Tuesday at home.
Against Bakersfield, Irvine Valley only gave up three total games in three doubles matches.
Grove and Diaz won, 8-1, at the No. 1 position, sophomore Luis Moros and freshman Nevin McCann blanked the Knights, 8-0, on the second court and freshman Jonathan Hinkel and sophomore Nicholas Villar came out on top, 8-2, at the No. 3 spot.
In singles, all six IVC players won in straight sets.
The closest match was at No. 1 where sophomore Sufyan Ashraf earned a 6-2, 7-6 victory.
Some other highlights included Sam Shakiba winning, 6-1, 6-1 on the fifth court and freshman Kei Ohya also earning a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6
IVC continues its busy week hosting San Diego City on Friday at 2 p.m.
