Men's tennis team is ranked third in state, Grove/Pardo are No. 1

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the ITA 3C2A Men's National Team, Singles, and Doubles Rankings, sponsored by Tennis-Point. The Tigers finished the year as the No. 4-ranked team and saw several individual and doubles teams finish ranked as well.

National Rankings consist of the Top 20 Team Rankings, Top 75 Singles Rankings, and Top 50 Doubles Rankings.

As a team, Irvine Valley was ranked No. 3 in the state - behind only Ventura and Glendale.

IVC ended with a record of 11-2 overall and went 8-0 in the Orange Empire Conference to win the title.

Irvine Valley freshman Nick Grove was ranked fourth in the state in singles, freshman Patrick Riggs was 18th in singles, freshman Luciano Pardo came in at No. 23, freshman Sufyan Asraf was 30th and freshman Lucas Torres was ranked 32nd.

In doubles, Grove and Pardo were ranked No. 1 after capturing the state title. Torres and freshman Lucas Diaz were ranked 15th and sophomore Alyan Ashraf and Riggs came in at 19th.
